you don’t have to do this alone

the right therapist can help.

I work best with folks ages 15+ who:

  • identify as LGBTQIA+ and are looking for a safe space to explore their identity and navigate the struggles associated with unmasking and transitioning

  • have newly diagnosed or self-identified neurodivergency and are looking for a neurodivergent therapist to help explore this aspect of their identity and learn to navigate the challenges of being neurodivergent in an overwhelming world

  • need help developing their emotional awareness and the self-confidence and interpersonal skills needed to express themselves authentically and respectfully

  • expend more energy caring for others than themselves, and who need help learning to prioritize their own wellness

  • have strong inner critics and high standards for themselves who would benefit from building a more compassionate relationship with themselves

  • have BIG emotions and want to learn how to cope and reduce the intensity of the mood roller coaster

  • struggle to feel heard in relationships and want to improve their personal relationships, professional relationships, and romantic partnerships

  • practice consensual non-monogamy and need a safe place to explore and navigate their feelings and concerns

therapy begins with the therapeutic relationship.

It's challenging to find the right therapist - someone you can trust to be compassionate and non-judgmental while helping you embrace and strengthen your authentic self.

Often we have spent decades ‘masking’ our authentic selves to survive in an unfriendly world, but this leaves us feeling lost as if no one truly knows and understands us. This can lead to depression and anxiety, or coping strategies such as self-harm or substance use which may have helped us to survive, but do not allow us to thrive.

Therapy gives us space to know ourselves and to be known, to sort out the tangle of thoughts, memories, and emotions and begin to make sense of our experience. As we do that, we begin to find clarity, self-acceptance, and the determination to honor our own needs and wants.

But this process only works if you feel comfortable and understood by the therapist and people often struggle to feel seen in therapy, particularly therapy guided by a ‘medical model.’

As a neurodivergent and trauma-informed therapist, I am here to affirm and understand your identity and experience in the world, not to question it.

I strive to make everyone - of any body shape/size, sexuality, gender, race, religion, or disability - comfortable in the therapy room (and in their own skins) using a person-centered and strengths-based approach.

I hope I can be the right fit for you.

“It is a luxury to be understood.”
